Cinderella and Prince Charming

Last night when I put MJ to bed I bent over and gave him a hug and as I was standing back up he took my face and said "you are Cinderella" and I gave him a kiss and said "and you are my prince charming". That made my day by far.

I came down stairs and told Micah what MJ had done and he said that during the morning when he was watching a movie MJ saw Cinderella's castle and asked if he could go to the castle and go inside... he asked who Cinderella was and said that he wanted to marry her. Micah told MJ that I am his Cinderella and that someday he could find and marry his own Cinderella.

So tonight as Micah put MJ to bed MJ asked Micah where Cinderella was and Micah told him that she was in her castle and MJ said "no where is Cinderella Mom" so Micah answered she is down stairs and MJ replied "I am her prince charming"

Being a mom is so hard sometimes but always rewarding. I am so blessed to have MJ for a son and Micah for a husband.

Pumpkin Carving

The week of Halloween on Monday we all carved our pumpkins... MJ wasn't really interested in the carving part he just told us what kind of pumpkins to carve. Micah and MJ also threw some of the pumpkin seeds into the flower bed so maybe next year we will have pumpkins of our own.

Burts Pumpkin Farm

MJ had his first school field trip on October 20th to the pumpkin farm. While at the pumpkin farm we were able to see Johnny Pumpkin Seed who told us all about the different types of pumpkins, go on a hay ride where Mr. & Mrs. Pumpkin told us all about how they grow the pumpkins on the farm. We even got to pick out a pumpkin for each of us to bring home. Here are the pictures from our day.

Happy Early Halloween

MJ and I went to the thrift store and to Walgreens to get his halloween costume today. We found everything we needed so we decided to try it out. Here are pictures of MJ the pirate... I am sure more halloween pictures will be posted after we actually celebrate halloween.

MJ's First Day of Preschool

I am about three weeks late posting this, MJ has started preschool! His teachers names are Miss Margret and Miss Paulette. He loves school and looks forward to going each day. He hasn't cried when I leave him and seems to be adapting very well. Here are pictures from the morning of his first day.

Bowling

The Dunn Family went bowling this past weekend in all of the rain. It was MJ's first time bowling and he really enjoyed himself. We played two games... I have to admit that with some help from Micah and I he ended up beating me in the first game. Micah was on a roll and got 5 strikes in a row with a high score of 206. The second game was more of an even match where I actually made it into the 90's and Micah was in the low 100's. Here are some pictures from our day.

Amicalola Falls

The Dunn's hiked the falls on Sunday August 30th. MJ was a trooper and made it all the way to the top... all 675 steps with out being carried. We all had a great time seeing the falls and spending time together. Here are the pictures from our day!

Day out at Sharp Top Cove

Yesterday Micah, MJ and I went out to Sharptop Cove for some fun in the sun. All the campers had gone home and we had the camp to ourselves. We went fishing and played in the pool. MJ loved going to Dad's work for the day. Here are some pictures of the fun we had.
