Thanksgiving

We had a wonderful Thanksgiving. We were blessed to share the holiday with our family that lives far away. Enjoy the slide show of our time together.

As seen in the pictures above MJ is a very proud big brother. We are so thankful that Grant is here and is healthy. It is amazing the gifts God gives us... what a blessing it is to be mother to these two boys.

MJ's First Day of School

On September 6th MJ started preschool for the year. His teachers Miss Donnis and Miss Janie are great. In the first few weeks he has learned the days of the week and the Pledge of Allegiance. He has also learned some cute sayings and songs. The other day I was giving him a snack and he said "you get what you get and you don't pitch a fit". Then this morning he told Micah that when you line up at school Miss Donnis says "hips and lips" which he showed us is putting a hand on his hip and a finger over his lips. Pretty Cute. Here are some pictures of his first day.

Spelling

MJ has begun to spell out words and then read them. Of course he can't read most of the words he spells so we help him. One day when we were walking through Home Depot Micah was pushing MJ in the shopping cart, MJ started reading the letters on Micah's shirt Y-O-U-N-G-L-I-F-E... then MJ underlined the word with his finger and said WORKSHIRT. We both started laughing and told him that he did a great job.

Then a couple of nights later we were reading books before bed. The book we were reading that night was about farms, there were several pictures of vegetables and so he would spell the vegetable and then read it based on the picture above the word. Then he came to a picture of lettuce he spelled L-E-T-T-U-C-E and read SALAD.

Nevada Trip!

We just got home from a week long trip to see Nana and Pop in their new home of Fernley Nevada. We did a lot

of sight seeing... baseball playing... laughing... and even some crying (only when it was time to come home). I think the slide show does a great job of showing all of our trip. We had a great time and are so thankful we were able to visit!

First's

So MJ had his first bee sting yesterday. Micah had gotten home from work and was outside with MJ.       MJ didn't have his shoes on... I always tell him to wear his shoes because if he doesn't he will step on a bee and that is just what he did. At first he was fine he was just acting like the marble was hot and he hopped on one foot to Micah. He didn't cry until Micah pulled the stinger out... after about 20 minutes though he was back to himself running around the house and wanting to go back outside.

Funny Faces

MJwent to Bible school this week. On Tuesday PJ gave him a stick on mustache so when we got home he put it on and we took some pictures. Here they are... hope they make you smile or even laugh out loud.

MJ Preschool Olympics

MJ had a great time at his olympics last week. Here are the pictures of all the fun!

And A Baby Makes Four!

Well a new chapter has begun in our life. We are expecting a baby! I am so excited about this new addition to our family and I am really glad that I can share the good news. I am 3 months and our due date is November 12th... so far the first few weeks I was sick but I am feeling much better. I am tired a lot but that could just be from having a toddler.

MJ is excited about the baby as well and has said some pretty funny things when we talk about it. Like he knows that there is a baby in my belly and so one day he said "can I hop in there" I let him know that there is only room for one. We ask him what we should call the baby and he says "baby", or we ask him if he wants a brother or a sister and he usually says "I want a brother and a sister".

Thanks for going on this journey with us and keep the baby in your prayers as God continues to create and mold one of His.

Valentine's Snow

On Friday we had a couple of inches of snow in Jasper and North Georgia... The snow makes everything look fresh and new. Hope you enjoy the pictures.

MJ and the Aquarium

On MJ's birthday we went to the Tennessee Aquarium. We had lunch with Kevin and then went to visit the fish. During the first building we saw some sharks and MJ was afraid of them.
We would try and touch the glass and he would flip out thinking that the sharks were going to get us. By the second building he was done looking at fish but loved the Nemo tank at the end. Hope you all enjoy our pictures.
